I love this wonderful series with the close knit family in a small ranch town setting。 This is Constanzo Moore's story and of course we have met him before when his young son had an allergic reaction to peanuts in the last story。 Constanzo is the oldest sibling and he is responsible for the family ranch。 He's got some issues that cause him to be super serious and sometimes accused of being grumpy。 His wive dumped him saying he was too boring for her and left him with a young son to care for。 Con I love this wonderful series with the close knit family in a small ranch town setting。 This is Constanzo Moore's story and of course we have met him before when his young son had an allergic reaction to peanuts in the last story。 Constanzo is the oldest sibling and he is responsible for the family ranch。 He's got some issues that cause him to be super serious and sometimes accused of being grumpy。 His wive dumped him saying he was too boring for her and left him with a young son to care for。 Constanzo also takes seriously his responsibility to care for his family。 So when he hires a young mom with two young boys and an abusive ex husband to deal with- of course he starts to feel protective towards her too。Nelly had finally made the break away from her abusive husband。 With no money and no place to live， she jumps at the job to work in the office on a ranch that includes a small house。 She hates feeling like she is a weak person after taking all of the verbal and physical abuse her ex had heaped on her for years。 When Constanzo tries to protect her， she thinks he believes she is weak。When Constanzo comes up with a plan to protect Nelly from her ex- she reluctantly goes along with his idea to pretend to be engaged。 The only problem is that as time goes on both of these two broken people may want the engagement to be the real thing。I love this series and enjoy seeing the family members from previous books pop in and out。 There is some mystery in this book about what happened to Constanzo's father。 I also love the epilogue giving a short preview of the next story。I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased review。 。。。more

Constantly and Nelly’s story is truly inspirational and amazing。 You will read about spousal abuse， gambling troubles and a wonderful family who sticks together。 The characters in this book will feel like family before you finish reading this book。I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review。

This Show Me state and the city of Cowboy Crossing has been a fun community to get to know。 These stories by Alexa Verde， have introduced us to a wonderfully big caring family。 They all love and support each other， and it doesn’t just stop there。 They care for those around them， too。 I have truly been delighted to read these books because I feel like I’m a part of their community and know everyone in the family。All these “Show Me” stories have been a joy to read。 They are full of romance， drama， This Show Me state and the city of Cowboy Crossing has been a fun community to get to know。 These stories by Alexa Verde， have introduced us to a wonderfully big caring family。 They all love and support each other， and it doesn’t just stop there。 They care for those around them， too。 I have truly been delighted to read these books because I feel like I’m a part of their community and know everyone in the family。All these “Show Me” stories have been a joy to read。 They are full of romance， drama， interesting relationships， cute kids， and bits of suspense。 They all have interesting plots and twists to them。 I’m just wondering how many more stories Alexa Verde can keep creating and who will be the next one to find happiness。In this story， we meet the oldest brother in the Moore family。 Constanzo has been known as a grouch。 Granted it’s because of losses he’s experienced， and some hard times in his life。 Will Nelly Rice be the answer to his problems of grumpiness？ Will Nelly also find that love really can exist after all the abuse her ex has done？ The answers to these questions you’ll have to find on your own as you read this sweet tale of two people whose lives are intertwined。 Alexa Verde never ceases to amaze me with her writing。 She brings characters who are real and situations that we can all relate to。 Plus， she gives us wonderful words of God’s amazing love。I highly recommend picking this book up。 It will be an added blessing to your collection。I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way， all thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

Another great story in the “Show Me” series。 The characters are so captivating and entertaining。 Some of them are like old friends。 This particular story deals with heartache， abusive relationships and rediscovering faith in God。 Nelly has finally left her abusive husband ， now she needs to find a job。 Constanzo has run the family ranch ever since his father disappeared and needs an assistant。 Will Nelly be the right individual for the job？
